Why did I ever leave the city? It was a stupid idea, my father would have killed me, if he ever saw me again, losing his yacht, but I guess it was an accident. As I and Kara left the port in Vilamoura, leaving our party life behind and setting sail in my fathers yacht to a so called "paradise" island. This island, everybody was talking about it,all over Portugal. Giant screens advertising it as the worlds only true "paradise". There was a painfully loud ringing noise throughout my ears. Then complete silence. I couldn't hear anything, not even the sound of my own heart beating. Slowly I opened my eyes and cautiously looked around, to my relief the horrendous noise had been only my alarm clock. It was going to be the most wondrous day, clear and cold and blue and Preston were scheduled to play Burney.     The United States  became divided around the mid 1800’s. There were tensions between the North and the South over slavery and tariffs. The South became known as the Confederate States of America and the North became known as the Union. Each side had different strategies to win the war. I am going to tell you what the strategies were and if the worked or not, and how they helped to win battles.           The Union had good strategies that were better than the South’s. One of these strategies was the Anaconda Plan, which meant that the Union was to send ironclad ships across the Mississippi river and cut the South in half. Anoth
